Here's the thing nobody tells a busy owner: Google reviews aren't a suggestion box you check when you have time. They're the front window of your business. A customer deciding between you and the place two blocks away reads them first — and an angry review with no response reads like a business that doesn't care, even when nothing could be further from the truth. An unanswered negative review can sit at the top of your profile for months, long after the situation it describes was fixed.
Owners who reply do better, and that's not our opinion — Google's own help pages say that responding to reviews builds customer trust, and that high-quality, positive reviews and your responses to them can improve your business's local visibility. Replying is also the only part of your Google presence you fully control. You can't pick your reviews. You can always pick your answers.
We're Ren Studio, a small studio here in Tampa, and we answer Google reviews for independent businesses. Before we'd ever ask you to pay for that, we'd rather show you the numbers — yours, specifically. That's what the free audit is.

What the free audit includes
Four things, all about your business — no generic report, no made-up benchmarks:
1. Your reply rate — next to your 3 nearest competitors
We count how many of your recent Google reviews have an owner's reply, then do the same for the three closest businesses in your category. If they're answering 9 out of 10 and you're answering 1, that's the gap a new customer sees — and now you'll see it too.
2. Every unanswered negative review, counted
How many one-, two-, and three-star reviews on your profile have never been answered. Each one is a story your side of which nobody has heard.
3. Your oldest unanswered review
The single review that has waited the longest for a response. For a lot of owners, this one number is what makes them say "okay, fix this."
4. Three replies, drafted free, for your actual reviews
Not templates — real replies, written in your voice, to three of your actual recent reviews (we'll include at least one tough one). They're yours to post whether or not you ever hire us. Judge the whole service by these three replies.
How it works
- Email us your business name and city — that's all we need — to inunghwang@gmail.com with the subject FREE REVIEW AUDIT + your business name. A link to your Google listing helps but isn't required; we'll find you.
- We read your public Google profile and your competitors', count the replies, and draft your three sample replies. Everything in the audit comes from what's publicly visible — the same thing your customers see.
- Your audit comes back within 48 hours as a one-page summary plus your three drafted replies. No account to create, no software, no obligation.
- No access needed — for the audit, ever. We never ask for your Google password or profile access to run an audit. Access only enters the picture if you later hire us to post replies for you (and even then, there's a no-access option — see below).
Like the audit? Let us run it — first week free, then $149/month
- First week free: we clear your unanswered backlog and answer every new review
- Every new Google review answered within 24 hours, in your voice
- You approve sensitive replies — every 1–2 star reply waits for your OK before it posts, always
- Unhappy customers moved to a private conversation — never argued with in public
- A one-page monthly summary: rating trend, review themes, problems flagged early
- $149/month founding rate for Tampa locals (up to 30 reviews/month). Cancel anytime, no contract
How access works (30 seconds, revocable): in Google Business Profile → Users, you add us as a Manager. We can reply to reviews and nothing else changes; you can remove us in two clicks, anytime. Prefer no access at all? We deliver your replies as a document you paste in yourself, on the same schedule. Same service, your call.
Questions owners actually ask
Do you write fake reviews for us?
Never. We don't write reviews, buy reviews, or ask your happy customers to write them for us — fake reviews violate Google's policies, they get businesses penalized, and honestly, customers can smell them. What we do is replies: your side of real reviews, written well. If you want more reviews, we can set you up with an honest system for asking every customer — a card at the register, a line on the receipt — and let real customers decide for themselves.
What about a review that's just unfair — or not even about us?
Two moves. First, reply anyway: a calm, specific, generous reply isn't really for the reviewer — it's for the hundred people who will read it later deciding whether to trust you. Second, if a review actually violates Google's policies (it's about the wrong business, it's spam, it contains hate speech or a conflict of interest, it's a former employee settling a score), it can be flagged for removal through Google's review-flagging process. We'll tell you honestly which of your reviews are worth flagging — most aren't removable, and we'll say so — and walk you through the flagging steps for the ones that are.
Which businesses is this for?
Independent, locally owned businesses in the Tampa Bay area — cafés, salons, bakeries, shops, trades, studios, groomers. If your customers find you on Google, your reviews matter. We don't work with chains or franchises (their reviews belong to corporate), and we don't do medical or dental practices, where review replies carry extra privacy rules we won't improvise around.
What does the audit cost? What's the catch?
It's free, and the catch is the obvious one: the audit is how we show you the work, in the hope you'll hire us to keep doing it. The three drafted replies are yours either way. If the numbers come back fine — some businesses really are handling their reviews well — we'll tell you that too, and you'll have it in writing.
