Free Printable Halloween Coloring Pages

Five free Halloween pages to download and print at home — spooky mandalas for grown-ups, black cats and kawaii ghosts for everyone else.

October is the best coloring month of the year. The designs get spookier, the color palettes get moodier, and a stack of printed pages on the kitchen table turns an ordinary evening into a little Halloween ritual. To celebrate, I've put together a free Halloween sampler: five full pages pulled from my Halloween coloring books, free to download and print as many times as you like for personal and classroom use.

The sampler is a single PDF with five pages, so you can try every Halloween style I make before deciding on a full book:

  • A spooky mandala — intricate haunted-house and pumpkin details for adults and teens who like a longer, meditative color session.
  • A black cat in a witch hat — the crowd favorite from Spooky Kitties, bold lines and big shapes that work for younger kids too.
  • Cute kawaii Halloween pages — smiling ghosts, happy pumpkins, and candy, drawn sweet instead of scary.
  • Two more seasonal surprises from the Halloween and fall collections.

It's a pay-what-you-want download (free is fine — truly). Gumroad will offer to email you when new free pages land, which is the easiest way to catch the Christmas sampler later this year.

What the finished pages look like

Every sampler page is the real line art from the books, so what you color at home is exactly what buyers get. Here are two of the designs, blank and finished:

How to print them well

A few small settings make a big difference — there's a fuller walkthrough in my guide to printing coloring pages, but the short version:

  • Paper: regular printer paper works for crayons and colored pencils. For markers, use cardstock or put a scrap sheet behind the page to stop bleed-through.
  • Settings: print at 100% scale (not "fit to page") in the highest quality mode your printer offers, so the black lines come out crisp.
  • One-sided: the sampler is laid out one design per page with a blank back, just like the books — frame the finished ones without anything showing through.

Fun ways to use them

Print a stack as Halloween party placemats so kids can color while they wait for pizza. Run a family coloring contest with categories like spookiest, silliest, and most surprising color choice. Teachers print them for October morning work and early finishers — classroom use is welcome. And finished mandalas taped inside a front window look genuinely wonderful backlit on trick-or-treat night.
